Section 7: Initiation

Section 7: Initiation

All scenes in RusticRP require some form of initiation.

7.1 | Initiation allows you to rob/kill/shoot someone. But only once initiation has been done, you cannot shoot/kill/rob someone without initiating first.

7.2 | Any initiation is shared between the group/gang/LEO. You cannot have people come to a scene if they are IC by using Discord etc You must use IC systems, i.e phone, radio. See also rule 6.24

7.3 | Going upto someone and saying “give me a 100k or i’ll kill you” does not constitute initiation. That is FRP (fail roleplay) and this is not a 100k or die city.

7.4 | You must have the intention of initiating, to do this you will need to have a weapon in your hand and declare who you are or the gang you are with. Troll initiation counts as FRP and can result in a strike.

7.5 | Initiation is only to be made via voice, this can be direct to one another or over a phone call/radio chat. The only exception to this is turf/gang wars. See section 15 (not yet in use).

7.6 | If you initiate on someone it is your responsibility to ensure that person has heard you and has acknowledged your initiation. If they fail to hear your initiation that is on you not on them.

7.7 | You cannot go around handcuffing and tasing people and calling that “initiation” you can only handcuff or tase someone AFTER you have already initiated on them. Only exception to this is LEO, they have the right to handcuff or tase someone if a crime has been committed.

7.8 | Unrealistic or confusing demands will not constitute initiation. Be clear and concise when you are initiating or demanding something.

7.9 | Just because you initiate on someone does not mean you can outright kill them. Make a scene of it, and only kill them should the roleplay bring you to that point. Killing someone should be used as a last resort. Knocking someone unconscious and ocean dumping them is fine, as long as the roleplay scene has got you to that point.

7.10 | During robberies anyone may take part regardless of gang affiliation or colors. However, you must make this known to LEO, either by all staying inside the building or announcing the presence of other participants. You must also make hostages known to LEO.

7.11 | Running from a scene to store goods/loot/money/weapons is not allowed. You must wait for the scene to be over before you can do this. There is a 15 minute cooldown between the scene ending and you being able to change clothes or stash any items gained from that scene. This DOES not include removing a mask, you can remove a mask at any point.

7.12 | Changing vehicles during a scene is allowed, however, you cannot store the vehicle you are currently in. You can only pull out a new vehicle.

A scene is declared over (Code 4) when either you have escaped from LEO. The person you have initiated against has left the area or you have become unconscious and treated at the HOSPITAL. If you are unconscious and are treated on scene then EMS can clear you to return to that scene. If you are revived by Mr Dahmer you can also return to the scene straight away. However, this will change when we have more active EMS. Exception to this is red zones and green zones (see section rule 12.1)

Timers

  • 7.13 | If you initiate on someone you must give them time to comply, upto 10 seconds before taking further action. However, if they talk on the radio, pull out their phone, go for a weapon or try running away this constitutes acknowledgment of initiation.

  • 7.14 | Should any of the below happen then initiation is voided.

  • Situation is declared code 4 (scene over) by either the initiating party, LEO or EMS.

  • All people involved in the scene are dead, or all the initiated party are dead. If you die, you cannot re-enter the scene unless cleared by EMS. Mr Dahmer does not count, and you will need to leave the area and not return for 15 minutes. If you return before that period the initiating party is able to open fire on you without reinitiating.

  • Unless there is an obvious standoff, if no shots are fired for 15 minutes the scene is declared code 4 (scene over).

Exceptions to initiation (initiation not required)

Initiation is not required for any of the below reasons.

  • Police have attempted to PIT your vehicle (they must have made contact with the vehicle)

  • Your vehicle was rammed intentionally by another party (it is on you to prove it was intentional)

  • Your vehicle has been stolen (they have to attempt to drive away)

  • You were intentionally hit by another vehicle (you have to prove it was intentional)

  • Your vehicle has been stop-sticked (spike strips)

  • Someone has given you a demand but has a visible weapon and it is pointing it at you.

  • Someone has shot at you, or is about to shoot at you. This goes for you and your group.

  • LEO has warned someone 3 times and provided the consequences.

  • Martial law, LEO’s may shoot on site if they see any visible weapons. They also have the right to stop and search any civilian.

  • A civilian has unholstered weapon inside an EMS/DOJ or LEO facility.

  • A civilian is carrying or is about to use a class 4 item or a terrorist classed item.

  • Another gang has entered your compound without permission or broken in using force.

If you intentionally shoot or kill someone without initiating or without one of the above reasons then it will be classed as RDM which is punishable with a strike.
